Armed Groups Attack Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza

In a statement released today, the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem shared that in the early hours of the morning, armed members of a local outlaw group entered the hospital grounds, demanding treatment for a wounded member among them. After the medical team treated him with the same care and dignity given to all patients, the group set fire to the hospital morgue and staff prayer room, severely damaging these spaces. They also blocked the entrance, preventing firefighters from extinguishing the blaze, as flames spread dangerously close to tents serving as the hospital’s emergency department, forcing staff and patients to evacuate without any warning.
Later, a second group of armed outlaws stormed the campus, firing weapons and terrorizing patients and staff. This attracted the attention of a drone flying overhead that proceeded to fire into the hospital compound, killing seven and severely injuring five more.
